Feature-spotting / list-like approach without linking to context, function or effect

Some responses used a range of impressive language terms to describe language features but did not go beyond a descriptive/feature spotting approach and marks had to be restricted because of failure to link to context/purposes. A list-like approach/feature spotting is not a successful way to tackle this question.WEN01 Unit 1, June 2023

How to fix: Move from 'identify' to 'analyse' in every paragraph. After naming a feature, quote the exact words, then tie the choice to AO3 context (audience, mode, purpose). Use the chain: feature -> evidence -> effect -> link to function. Never present a list of devices without immediately exemplifying and explaining each one's effect.
