Qualifications Scotland (formerly SQA) Advanced Higher is Scotland's most challenging school qualification, taken by students in S6 (age 17-18). Advanced Higher is equivalent to A Level in England and is required for competitive university courses such as Medicine, Law, Veterinary Science, and Oxbridge entry.
