About IB English A1
IB English A1 is the legacy Group 1 language subject, examined under the previous IB curriculum prior to 2013. It focused on the study of literary texts with emphasis on critical analysis and comparative essay writing. The A1 designation indicated the student's first language or strongest language of instruction.
While the A1 syllabus has been replaced by the current English A Literature and Language and Literature courses, these past papers remain useful for practising literary analysis skills.
Exam Format
Paper 1

Paper 2
